Organize, sort and rename photos automatically with Photo Collection Organizer. A variety of photo formats (more than 792) can be handled by the program. EXIF / IPTC / TIFF photo tags also can be used to organize photos.
Pros: Photo Collection Organizer is able to organize and sort a photo collection automatically. This digital photos organizer sorts and renames photos automatically. Even when the content is packed inside archive files such as a zip or a RAR file, they could be sorted/ arranged automatically. Organizations that use large quantities of media files typically would need such automatic features.
One needs to set up the step-by-step wizard for sorting/ organizing by one of the specified methods. Methods available are by photo creation date, image size, camera model, photo content etc. The organizer can handle a very wide range of photo formats, including very old and rare formats. In fact, a range of more than 790 formats are claimed to be handled by the application. These include JPG, RAW, PDF, GIF, PSD, PNG, TIFF, ICO, AI, BTF, FPX, DCM, PS, VRD, NEF, PCT, ARW, Canon, Panasonic, Kodak, Konica, Fuji Film, Sony, Olympus, Nikon and others.
Photo tags available in a range of formats also can be used to organize photos. The tag formats that can be handled include EXIF, IPTC, XMP, JFIF, MakerNote, FlashPix, GeoTIFF etc.
The photo organizer can organize other media files too such as mp3, wma, videos, books, archives and all kinds of files in zip/RAR archives.
Cons: Labels used on the control icons and menu items have difficult to understand language as does the help documents. These need to be edited properly by the publishers.
Overall the application fulfills a set of useful set of functions. The user interaction is reasonable easy and easy to learn. The application does achieve a level of 4 stars.
